Full disclosure: We got the Tesla Y to allow Ms Underhill to drive again. She voluntarily stopped driving 4 years ago due to MS-induced cramps in her feet and has regretted the loss of independence without so much as a murmur (remarkable woman.) We recently wondered if collision avoidance features in self driving cars were advanced enough to tip the risk scales back in our favor. It was expensive but worth it to give her back a slice of her life.

And yes, the autopilot drove us to church this morning.
