Cougar Kickoff Countdown: 18 Days

In the 2007 rivalry game with the University of Utah, there weren't a lot of touchdowns as the Cougars and Utes exchanged field goals for nearly all four quarters. The Utes were the first to find the end zone when Darrell Mack made the one-yard run; Utes went up 10-9 with only 1:34 left on the game clock.

After two incomplete passes and a fumble, that BYU retained the possession of, the Cougars were forced to go for it on fourth down with eighteen yards to go for the first down. At the line QB Max Hall signaled to WR Austin Collie to stutter-and-go, instead of running straight down the field. Collie made the stutter step and the Utah DB bit hard on it, leaving Collie wide open running down the field. Meanwhile, Hall was flushed out of the pocket. He threw the ball on the money and the 49-yard pass put the Cougars in Utah territory. The drive was capped off by an 11-yard Harvey Unga run and two-point conversion pass to Austin Collie. Cougars won 17-10.
