Fourth quarter

Nevada caps the 11-play drive when Fajardo hits WR Richy Turner on an 18-yard pass on one-on-one coverage. Fajardo connects with WR Hasaan Henderson on the 2-pointer to tie the game at 28. The Wolf Pack secondary does a nice job on third down and forces a coverage sack by DE Brock Hekking. A personal foul on the play makes BYU punt from its own 16, and KR Richy Turner returns it 20 yards to the BYU 49. Fajardo scores four plays later on a 25-yard scramble to give Nevada its first lead since it was 3-0. On BYU's first play, DE Ian Seau sacks Stewart and forces a fumble that goes right to LB Matthew Lyons, and Pack takes over at BYU 20. BYU, against a prevent defense, goes 15 plays, with Stewart hitting Keanu Nelson on an 8-yard TD pass. Nevada goes three-and out and punts, giving BYU the ball at its own 10 with 89 seconds to play. Freshman DE forces a fumble by Stewart on a scramble, and LB Jonathan McNeal recovers, allowing the Pack to run out the clock. NEVADA 42, BYU 35

Third quarter

BYU opens the second half moving the ball with ease, but Nevada stiffens inside its own 30 and forces a 44-yard field goal try by Trevor Samson, which is missed right. The Pack goes on a 13-play drive and scores on a 1-yard run by Fajardo. Nevada forces a punt with the help of an offensive pass interference penalty, but can't take advantage of a possession that begins at its own 44. Nevada CB Randy Uzoma forces a fumble by BYU WR Terren Houk, and Brock Hekking returns it to the BYU 48. Quarter ends with Pack facing a fourth-and-1 at the Cougars' 39. BYU 28, NEVADA 20

Second quarter

The Cougars convert three third-and-long plays, two on scrambles by QB Christian Stewart, and score on a 20-yard swing pass from Stewart to Lasike. Nevada RB Don Jackson takes a screen pass, breaks one tackled and then weaves his way for a 66-yard catch and run from QB Cody Fajardo. One play later, RB James Butler goes around left tackle and launches himself into the end zone for the touchdown. A pooch kick gives BYU the ball at its own 40 and the Cougars score six plays later on a pass from Stewart to Mitch Mathews. Nevada goes on a 14-play drive that stalls when 6-foot-7 LB Bronson Kaufusi knocks down his second pass. Zuzo connects on a 26-yard field goal. BYU threw a lot early but goes to its ground game and goes 16 plays, with Mathews catching his second TD pass (11 yards) from Stewart. BYU 28, NEVADA 13

First quarter

BYU won the coin toss and elected to defer. Nevada defended the north end zone to start the game. With the help of a roughing-the-passer call, Nevada moves the ball with good balance, but the drive stalls and K Brent Zuzo kicks a 44-yard field goal. It's the second time this season the Wolf Pack scored on its first drive (FG vs. Arizona). Teams trade punts, and BYU picks up its passing game, going 97 yards and scoring on a 1-yard run by FB Paul Lasike. BYU is inside the Nevada 30 when the quarter ends. BYU 7, NEVADA 3
