PROVO — BYU post Morgan Bailey is having a career year.

West Coast Conference coaches have taken notice.

Bailey was named the WCC player of the year by the league's women's basketball coaches, the conference announced Tuesday, following a senior season in which she averaged a double-double as one of the top scorers and rebounders in the league.

Bailey shot a league-high 51.7 percent from the floor in 35.5 minutes per game, scoring at a clip of 18.0 points per game and adding 10.7 rebounds per contest. The senior from Orem is the second-straight BYU player to earn player of the year accolades following teammate Jennifer Hamson's award last season. Hamson recently signed a contract with the Los Angeles Sparks of the WNBA after leading the BYU women's volleyball team to the NCAA national championship match last fall.
