BYU football added a big piece to its 2018 recruiting class, receiving a verbal from Dallin Holker today.

BYU football got some good news today. 2018 tight end Dallin Holker is a Cougar.

Scout has Holker ranked as a three-star recruit. He held offers from Oregon State, Utah State, Colorado State and Southern Utah. Holker made the announcement on Twitter this afternoon.

Holker plays for Lehi High School (UT). As a junior last season in Pioneer purple, Holker caught 105 passes for 1,295 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Holker has great size at 6-foot-4, 225-pounds and has really nice hands. His tape speaks for itself, but he’s the kind of player that BYU football fans might associate with the tight end revival in Provo.

His junior season highlight tape can be viewed below.

He’s the ninth commit of BYU football’s 2018 class, joining fellow three-star recruits Brandon Kaho, Connor Pay, Jaren Kump, Nate Latu and Campbell Barrington, among others.

The biggest fish the Cougars are still pursuing for 2018 is quarterback Tanner McKee. Mckee is a four-star recruit who is garnering national attention.

24/7 Sports currently projects McKee going to Stanford, but he has offers from a number of big-time schools. Among those are Alabama, Georgia, UCLA and Texas.

For now, BYU football is moving on towards the spring game on March 25 and its NFL Pro Day on March 24.

Among the Cougars participating in Pro Day are Jamaal Williams, Harvey Langi, Travis Tuiloma, Kai Nacua, Taysom Hill, Andrew Eide and Algie Brown.

Based on reports, Williams and Langi are the two most likely to be drafted. But Tuiloma, Nacua, Eide and Brown all have shots at signing UFA deals.
