The best passing big man in college basketball entered the transfer portal as Aly Khalifa hit the portal Friday. Khalifa has one year of eligibility remaining.
BYU center Aly Khalifa has entered the transfer portal, per source. Started 26 games this past season for the Cougars, averaged 5.7 points and 4.0 assists. One of the elite passing big men in the country.

His entry has a "Do not contact" classification, for what it's worth.
After two good seasons plus a redshirt year at Charlotte, Khalifa was the perfect fit in BYU’s 5-out offense with his passing ability. On the season he averaged 5.7 points, 4 assists, and 3.7 rebounds on 32% shooting from three. Khalifa played all season on a bad right that required surgery and was never 100%. His numbers don’t pop off the page, but he often operated the offense for BYU at the top of the key and made BYU’s offense extremely difficult to plan against.
The hits keep coming for BYU, who saw Dallin Hall enter the transfer portal also on Friday. Aly is one I could potentially see following Pope to Kentucky. Pope could get a lot of good five men in Lexington, but Aly would seamlessly fit into Pope’s style of play if he continues with that.
Unfortunately, I think we’ll continue to see BYU players enter the portal.
