Ohio State, Texas, Florida or Bama. I've accepted the fact that we will never be a perrenial top 15 type program. We will have a great season every decade or so. We will have a "special" season every 15 to 20 years. That's OK. I would rather BYU be a "solid" program and remain clean, than become a "great" program and join the ranks of the dirty (tell me any of the schools I mentioned above are "clean").

BYU is a strict religious school in the middle of one of the least populated regions of the continental US. Our recruiting pool is very small. Our potential coaching pool is also very small. I think it's completely unrealistic to expect BYU to competetive with the BCS powers year in and year out. That's OK. I just want it to be fun. Win or lose, I just want it to be an exciting brand of football.
