this is how you can teach your children very young to appreciate and enjoy guns; First, have the target ready in a safe place, Second, have your gun in your possesion with the safety on, practicing muzzle control. Third, call your child over and have them stand next to you while you kneel. Fourth, point the gun in the direction of the target. Fifth, while holding and controling the gun have them put their hands on the gun also (gasp!) and let them try their hardest to line up the sights on the target. Sixth, when they think they are ready have them put their finger on their trigger. Seventh, take the gun off safety and tell them to pull the trigger. Eighth, immediatly after firing, put the gun back on saftey and tell them to now let go of the gun.
This is how I do it and if you think that is too dangerous for a child, then I suggest you put your kid in bubble wrap and keep them in their rooms.
