Is there a coach who has got more out of the success on the coattails of Jimmy
Johnson than Dennis Erickson? Maybe Barry Switzer, but I mean seriously, DE has coached his college teams to a total of four, FOUR, winning seasons since his time at Miami. In the NFL, not one successful winning season in six attempts (finished 8-8 three times).

Add to that this mis-perception that he's this all-star recruiter and the U is in for a bit of a surprise. All the success he had at Miami came with Jimmy Johnson recruits. He's been unable to replicate it ever since.

He's a mediocre coach who gets far too much credit for his success at Miami and not enough blame for his failures everywhere else he's been.

I'm with Shoganai; this is not an impressive hire.
