My wife gave birth to our second son last Tuesday. Due to unforeseeable complications, a placenta accreta, my wife would have likely dies from loss of blood. Even being in the hospital she lost 2.7 liters of ~5.6 liters in her body. Thankfully a very experienced doctor saved her life and stopped the bleeding.

We avoided an emergency hysterectomy but also found out we might not be able to have any more kids. It's been the most stressful week of my life.
