The University is still Texas Christian University. However the marketing and Sports/Athletic Departments all dropped the lng name and adapted simply TCU for all intents and purposes. Its like a business that uses its dba for certain things. That' is actually what TCU did about 5-6 years ago. It is still a religious affiliated institution of higher learning. Their own web site does not say the university name was changed after 1902 when Texas Christian university was adopted. ALL marketing and presentation media is under the dba TCU.
