that fans take what football coaches say so seriously. Honestly, one of LaVell Edwards' best talents was the ability to spin a bunch of cliches into an interview and make it sound as though he had said something. It's not a lot different with Bronco, I imagine. Some of what he says is probably window dressing for the Board. Some is for donors, and some, I'm sure, is just to keep people on CB hopping.
In truth, I don't care what he SAYS. I want to see results on the field. Saying and doing don't always correlate well, as anyone who's ever tried to get a bunch of guys to home teach probably already knows.
Because he's been pretty successful (in terms of wins and losses and bowl victories) and kept the program pretty reasonably clean (a major concern to the BOT), I suspect he's pretty-well bullet-proof for as long as he wants to stay. Everyone says he needs to learn to be better with the fans. It might be easier to get CB to just live with the way he talks.
