Unbalanced schedules
Holmoe has noted that the PAC12 has an unbalanced schedule when teams like Stanford and USC play ND. I assume that the same will hold true for the ACC. For example when Stanford plays ND on the last week of the season (Nov. 30th) Cal is forced into a bye game the week before the PAC-12 championship; whereas the other 11 teams have games. This sets up an unfair advantage for either Cal or the other 11 teams (depending on how you view bye weeks) going into the championship game. The same situation exists on Oct. 19th for Colorado when USC plays ND.

In the ACC BC has to play NM State on Nov. 19th due to ND playing Pitt. The ACC issue becomes nearly a weekly situation with an unbalanced schedule in 2014.

I also assume that conferences like the MWC, Conf USA and AAC would like to add some zip later in the year as they try to bost their rankings.

Holmoe has said that he'd like to work with conferences to help resolve these types of situation. I think there are some opportunities out there.
