I beg to differ. When I am listening to a national sports talk guy and he mentions that his son and his friends (I think they were around 11 years old) are out in the driveway playing "jimmer" ball then I would think that is a pretty wide-spread phenomenon. He was not only known, but associated with certain skills and actions.
