Do you really think that
BYU has higher standards for athletes than the NCAA?

Pita was going to BYU, but he wasn't eligible for the NCAA or Utah, so by that definition, for athletes, BYU has lower standards than BYU.

As for Lindsey, he never enrolled at Utah. He is currently a Freshman at Snow

Look, I know BYU is a tough school to get into, I went there, but this illusion that they have a higher standard for their athletes is completely blown out of the water by the Pita situation.

Utah is known for working really hard to get their recruits eligible. When they recruit a player they map out their path to becoming eligible, and it works for them. Yes, they take a fair amount of risk on academically questionable guys. Some work out, some don't, but they also recognize that those players could be coming back in 2 years after the JUCO route, and Utah has had a lot of success from that as well.
