Agreed - sort of . . .

How about we modify it slightly --

Part I - 25 days before Christmas
Part II - 7 days after Christmas --

However, if you didn't put up a tree or decorations a previous year then you "build credit" in the subsequent year(s); thus, some of us are allowed to put up our trees and turn on our lights right after Halloween because of our lack of celebration in prior years.

Fair enough?
