Your first mistake was building out complex methodologies in excel. I get that excel can do some advanced things, but just because it CAN do something, doesn't mean that it SHOULD be used to do it. Seriously, hire a programmer to convert your excel methodology into a script in whatever programming language of your choice (I like python, easy to write, easy to read, and relatively universal). It will be MUCH easier to maintain and you will be able to go on vacations again.
