Does Harmon's quote make sense to anyone on this board? Hurry up offenses
make defenses more tired and give offenses an advantage. There is near unanimous agreement on this concept. I could link 100 fball articles from the past season stating as much. That is why Saban is trying to change the rules. Harmon is saying that a fast pace offense wears players out aerobically by the end of the season. This makes no sense to me at all.

I understand that players don't have time to lift weights during the season and they tend to get weaker, but aerobic exercise gets you in better running shape, not worse. Do track athletes get slower as the season progresses due to all of the running? I don't think so. Yet BYU was so worn out that a month of rest couldn't overcome the impact of Go Fast Go Hard and they were still exhausted for the Washington game? Give me a break. Washington had better overall athletes than BYU (their athletes are better that Utah's also). That fact was obvious from watching the game. Maybe the athletic ability of Washington had more of an impact than the overwhelming exhaustion from the hurried up BYU game that took place a month earlier.

I guess it is a challenge to find intelligent things to say in a news article during the off season.
