I go to Ute Crossfit and have done so for nearly two years. The owner (Tommy Hackenbruck) played football for the Utes during the Urban Meyer era. His co-owner and wife played soccer for the U as well. Hence the Ute tie. He and her are very intelligent business owners and the gym has been open since 2008. It has expanded from one location to four: Holladay, Sugar house, Downtown, and Draper (he doesn't own this one). The whole "Ute" aspect of it is non-existent. I think there are probably more Utah State alum there than Utes. Now before I get the whole "cool story bro" thing I would encourage any of you to go into one of his gyms and try a workout. Crossfit isn't for everybody and it's not the only way to get fit, but I enjoy the group/competitive aspect of it.
