BYU Football and Season Tickets
I read all these posts about why they are not buying tickets and they complain about the home schedule. To each and every one of them I say good bye and good riddance. I will be retiring in five years and we will spend all of the month of August this year looking at three places, Highlands, Midway and St. George. We have also purchased season tickets to both football and basketball so that when we get there we will have the tickets we want. In two years I will have two grandsons coming home from missions to BYU and they can use the tickets until we get there.

I support BYU athletics not for any entertainment value to me. I live on the east coast and so currently attending games is difficult. On average I get to one home game and one away game a year. I hope to get to two each this season. But I donate to the program, and now purchase tickets, because I am a fan of both BYU athletics and the university in general. I don't care if they are winning or losing, I will still be there to support the teams. I have suffered for twenty years as a Pirate fan but I never stopped going to games and never stopped rooting for them. Last year they rewarded me with a winning season. At the end of this month I will be in Baltimore to watch them play the Orioles twice.

I have the same attitude towards BYU sports. So if you don't want to renew do not complain when those tickets are gone and suddenly you like the new schedule and you want to get tickets. You can stand outsider the stadium and listen to the roar of victory. Or you can sit in front of your TV and convince yourself that it is just as much fun as actually going to the game. Good luck on that.
