They are trying to be very accommodative to the landowners who are losing
their land.

Later this year they will do an appraisal to value to property and then in 2015 they will start their buyouts. To any Rancher down there they will still allow them to farm their properties for a couple years while the project is underway (even after they've bought you out) and if you still need an extra year to wind down your operations they will provide other land for you to temporarily operate on.

I specifically asked if they could swap me out and was told that may be a possibility. They've reserved some land in Benjamin/Genola for special circumstances. I'll find out more information this Friday when I meet with the guy.

Regardless of what happens, I'm kind of bummed over the whole situation.

My Grandpa was threatened with Eminent Domain by Orem city way back when and was forced to sell his orchards at a low ball price. The city now has Westmore Elementary school because of it so I guess that's a plus.

Now glad there will be more June Sucker Larva swimming around in the rivers. Glad I could be apart of it... Yeeeeaaaaahhh.
