I agreed with some of what Mayor of Cougartown said and disagreed with a couple of things. But these two things are eternally true and should be taught to every incoming freshman:
3. Ask around for the easiest religion teachers. I don't want to fight and scrape for a B in a religion class. Then take whatever else class he is teaching.
This is true because, hey, it's a religion class. Assuming you do the reading and homework, you should NEVER get less than an A from a religion class. Religion is about spirituality and closeness to God, neither of which is gradeable. The only exception to this rule is if you can take a class from Hugh Nibley, but since the general resurrection has not happened as yet, this is unlikely.
4. Don't do honors - it's just stupid and no one cares.
Yeah. This. Generally speaking, the classes are harder but not better. Things may have changed in the 25 years since I was at BYU, but my suspicion is that this still holds true.
