A CB post giving credit, not blame, to Bronco? Nahh.
Martzen, 2J, Holliday get a lot of praise these days for some of the recent recruiting stuff. Obviously, a solid group of assistants/staff getting things done, but the vision for the program starts with the HC. He hires for what he feels the team needs to take them to the next level while still maintaining the non-football missions. The dude has been killed in the past for his hires/non-hires. People are finally happy about the staff and still he fails to get credited. People give props to the assistants/staff selling the program well, but don't forget the man who has established the program and hired the assistants/staff to bring these kids in.
Sure, no National Championship. Has his share of mistakes.
But take a look at the overall picture: A consistent, competitive, and respected program. No NCAA violations/investigations etc. Tons of national exposure. A "more than just football" place. Recent NFL guys. Created a unique, special environment that athletes (and their moms for their sons) want to be a part of.
Props to BM for that.
