I had a coworker who moved from Mesa to Utah for a position that really boosted his career. His wife hated leaving her family (especially her mother). This caused them some marital problems (as was evident by some obvious tense-filled phone calls he would have with her while at work. BTW, it's not a good idea to let your dirty laundry hang out for all of your co-workers to see). Anyway, he eventually gave in and moved back to the Phoenix area.
