by all accounts Henderson had an overall better spring than Kurtz

Who got off to a slow start while acclimating to Div1 and a new offense, coming on late.

This isn't to say Henderson will start over Kurtz at end of fall camp because Kurtz should be much more ready to go by then, and has more inherent talent. But out of spring Henderson earned the number1.
