Baseball ruling question
I'm umpiring a game right now and had a call which the coach was 100% sure I was wrong.
The situation: there is a kid on second base and the pitcher is set in the stretch, without stepping off he picks up his knee and picks to third (an unoccupied base) I called a balk. Was my call right?
It's the first week of the season so I'm pretty rusty. Just want to make sure for future reference.
