It was a pretty good movie until they added that dumb twist.

How it should have went is the village people had a pact with real creatures (not people dressed up) to not enter the forest. Someone enters the forest which breaks the pact and the creatures come in every night and devour one person. That would be a better movie than The Village.

A really scary scene you could add to my idea for the movie. The lookout on the tower sees the creature through the door in the floor of the tower. He cowers against the wall. As he cowers you see yellow eyes appear above him and the scene cuts. You find out the next day that the lookout was eaten.
