Waiting may not solve the problem
I patiently waiting and after 6 months finally got an MRI, two ligaments ruptured. Surgery was required to reattach to the bone.
I never play basketball anymore without full ankle braces that strap from bottom of foot to the ankle. I may blow out my knee, but the ankles are safe.
