How can I get text messages from my phone (the screen just broke)?

It's a touch screen and i'm not able to get into the phone at all. I can't even turn it off. Is there a way to get some of the texts that were on there or have been deleted?

Don't have it with me, but I believe it's an LG G2

The traditional way would be to turn in USB debugging, connect it to a computer
