I'll be in Ft. Myers at the end of June, but I'm flying my wife out there for a few days to hang out. I'm familiar with the Miami/Ft Lauderdale area but I've never been to the Gulf. We have 4 nights to enjoy it (Sunday-Thursday), but I'm trying to figure out whether to stay in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area or drive somewhere else. Do you recommend getting a hotel or renting a house?

Any suggestions?
