Analysis and "breakdown" of KVN like these drive me crazy
I've seen a couple of analysis of KVN like these where I wonder if the dude writing the piece was watching tape of a different player than the Kyle Van Noy I've seen. Here are a couple highlights:

"Negatives: Although Van Noy has good pass rushing skills, he’s not a particularly dominant pass rusher. He lacks a variety of moves, and relies more on his motor and athleticism when attacking the quarterback. Also, he doesn’t fit perfectly into a 3-4 defense, as he might be a better inside linebacker prospect than outside."

"He lacks a variety of moves"? Um, so a spin move, a bull rush, a swim and breaking the Offensive Tackle's ankles with killer jukes don't count as enough variety of moves I guess?

"And, he doesn't fit perfectly into a 3-4 defense"? Um, isn't KVN what MADE the whole 3-4 defense work for BYU? He can rush the passer, as well as drop back into coverage, as well as set the edge in the run game.... isn't that the very definition of a 3-4 OLB?

I mean, I don't envy these analysts their jobs. They have to look at hundreds of players and come up with something relevant for each one, but it sounds like this analyst just pulled stuff out of his... hat.

And if you haven't seen this great new KVN highlight tape, it refutes everything in this article.
