Never been to the Big Apple.

If I was going to surprise my wife with a quick hit trip to New York City....hit a Broadway production....I would like to stay near Broadway and Central Park.

Any recommendations on a hotel near there....the City looks pretty expensive, but, am looking for recommendations.

June/July time frame.
