fought those proposals for years. That' s why the P5 decided to seek autonomy so that they could address those issues without beinf continually voted down by the D1 schools who dindn't want the added expenses and the NCAA leadership who wanted to keep the illusion of a "level playing field".

Many of those proposals are also found in the N'Western students request to unionize. I believe that if the NCAA and the D1 schools had been proactive, none of the NCAA lawsuit or bid for unionization would have happened. And the P5 would not have sought autonomy.
