Rebuilding their athletic program? They never had one.
Colorado State has a whopping 3 ranked finishes in their football history.
And CSU has a grand total of 4 NCAA tournament wins in school history.
There is no history. They have half a handful of decent seasons dotting the 75 years of modern athletic history (once post season basketball tournaments and the college football polls came around in the mid/late 1930's).
Wyoming has a better history than Colorado State. By far. Colorado State probably has the worst combined football/basketball history of any current Mountain West school, with the possible exception of San Jose State.
