When they rule against the big 12 ccg proposal it will be
Fun to watch the process. The big 12 will have 4 options

1. fold up and go away. The league could disperse and Texas with Oklahoma join the B1G.SEC or PAC. I doubt this happens because those teams really enjoy calling their shots. It's why a&m left and is really not an option if they have ANY choice. Those teams will not play second banana to Stanford, Iowa or South Carolina.

2. Expand geographically based on their eastward movement with West Virginia. This is what WVU would like but there are not other teams in this area that add strength. They need more than watered down soup. They need to keep it strong so that the weight of the teams gives them enough of a push to get the to the playoffs.

3. Make a football pick. This is the hope for BYU. They need to find teams with clout that can add to the league competitively. Everyone sees this as byu being a natural fit. Someone else needs to step up.

4. They could do a 2/3 combo that could work for byu with like central Florida ( top 20 market) or Cincinnati. Gain in football with the one choice and geographically with the other and hope that the CCG makes enough money to offset the loss from the other team.

Just some thoughts, I think 3 and 4 are the most likely. One thing I'm sure of is that the sentiment expressed in the ACC against the big 12 CCG proposal is echoed in the B1G and PAC. That dog won't hunt.
