You're getting a deep fryer to cook things someone else battered?
Might as well heat those things in the oven.
The beauty in having your own deep fryer is to fry your own stuff: french fries, frog legs, catfish, funnel cake, munuelos, etc.

Keep it simple and get a Cool Daddy. They're fine.

I have a Cool Daddy. It's a pretty nice and simple but still good deep fryer.

That's one I've looked at. Is it big enough for Costco-sized corn dogs?

I've never seen a Costco Corn Dog so I wouldn't know.
