The drinking and peeing are symptoms of diabetes, but not diagnostic.
The constant hunger is not something I have seen with diabetes. I agree with the others, test his glucose if you are worried. If he has Type I, he should also be very lethargic, have little energy, be very tired, and sleeping a lot. If you haven't noticed these things, I highly doubt he has diabetes.
