Has anyone else noticed this over the past few years? It takes a lot of responsibility off of the person or other instances is more PC:

I lost my job (I got fired)
I lost my house (I couldn't pay my mortgage)
Transgender (Transexual?)
Religious transition (apostasy or changing religions?)
Because of the bad economy I........(any number of financial difficulties)

Any more you can think of? Anyone else notice this pattern?
