I really like Bronco as a coach, so please know that even though I am sharing this gripe... One issue I have is with his choice of team captains. Each year, players are picked that rarely make big plays on the field. I believe it was Falslev and Ridley on Offense, and I can't remember about the D. Why wasn't Van Noy a captain? I understand his reasoning - to have the players pick captains that symbolize BYU on and off the field, yet we need our captains to lead us in the field of battle.

Bronco, if this gets back to you, I suggest that you assign captains on the field that are your best play makers. Giving them that TITLE gives them extra confidence and swagger. Then assign academic and spiritual leaders off the field. If I were one of the clear leaders on the team, like Van Noy was last year, I would feel slighted if I wasn't picked as a captain. Is this just me?
