I figure when my kids are old enough to answer the phone at home, they will be
old enough to take a family cell phone with them occasionally when they are away from the house. It won't be their phone and won't have data and will be tightly controlled. But it will not by my phone or my wife's phone that they take. Republic Wireless has a good option for that. Moto G on the $10 plan.
