I grew up in Alaska. As has been mentioned, they DO love to pull.
You'll get your workout just leaning back on walks.
Cracks me up when the ESPECIALLY stupid PETA fools start talking animal cruelty in reference to the Iditarod etc. If they spent 5 minutes with the animals, they'd figure out real quick that they're the best-taken-care-of, healthiest, HAPPIEST dogs on earth, as long as you LET them pull. They LOVE it.
