Utah brass indicated they dropped the BYU series to play Michigan, and play a more national schedule. However, after we all knew the BYU series was cancelled, they announced a home and home series with.......Fresno State. Baffling that they would cancel one of the most compelling rivalry games to play Fresno State, and they didn't even get a 2 for 1. Also note - the location of the Utah-Fresno State games match the natural rotation of the BYU-Utah rivalry game (i.e., in SLC this year and on the road for the Utes next year).

The BYU-Utah game is a great rivalry, and to see it not played because they'd rather play Fresno State is a shame.
