I don't know the sun angles at LES, but I have been to plenty of afternoon
games at Williams Bryce and I fully remember that afternoon game at Doak Campbell. For almost the entirety of the second half, FSU was in the shade and our boys were in the sun. I was in that sun, having dumbly chosen to sit as close to our boys as possible. In most games it probably isn't the difference in the game, but you won't convince me that it isn't an advantage for one team to be standing in the shade while the other is getting beaten down by the sun. I do think it helped FSU score one more TD at the end.

When it's your stadium, you should utilize all the advantages that are there to be had. Plenty of teams have to criss-cross to leave their respective fields, so locker room location is not an issue. Camera angles? The action's on the field, not the sideline. There were certainly plenty of camera angles last year of Mack Brown and his hapless assistants.

I agree with chazen. BYU should stand on the west side.
