Does anybody really think teams that deserve a shot to win the national championship extend down to 16 teams? No way. Those teams often have 3 maybe even 4 loses depending on their schedule. BYU was #14-19 those years we kept running to the Vegas Bowl. We weren't national championship material. I think it would be watered down, although TV could make it happen and an upset would inevitably take place and everybody will go gaga over it.
