That's the cost of membership in a P5 conference. Many schools in the other
four conferences have spent or are planning to spend similar amounts on new or upgraded facilities, in all sports. This is another facet of the continuing separation from the non-P5s.
They can afford to do that because of the staggering amount of money that will pour into the P5 schools and conferences over the next 12 years.
