So Blue Sioux and I were in Louisville, KY this evening eating at a BBQ restaurant and up walks our waiter and comments on Blue Sioux's BYU Rugby tee shirt. Turns out he was raised in Detroit and in 5th grade had to do a report on a state and picked Utah due to his love of the Cougars and the Jazz. He was so excited to tell us about Ziggy and his football prowess. He was also stoked about KVN and what he is bringing to the lions. I showed him my picture of myself and KVN from the 1280 remote last week when I won the football and he showed the kind of excitement I would expect from a little kid seeing his hero.
This guy, non LDS, is a huge BYU fan and even commented on the jersey changes recently and how happy he was we went back to the simple uniform style of the BYU of old.
Just one more example of the BYU brand being recognized nationwide.
