Returning Production On Offense
The best coaches utilize the talents and skills they have and also try to take what the defense is giving them. Using your talents allows you to maximize your potential and also to create an identity. It is very evident that this team is going to be able to run the ball. Here are some stats from last year that I find interesting:

99.5% of our rushing production returns this year. Only 23 yards graduated from last season. Granted, I did count 100 yards for Alisa because he is returning, but is going to be on the other side of the ball.

3825 of our rushing yards are returning out of 3848 from last year = 99.4%

Now to our returning passing / receiving production: I believe our line is going to be much improved, plus I also believe that Taysom will be a more polished passer as a Junior. That being said, I am concerned with our lack of production returning in the receiving corps. Matthews is our most productive receiver returning with only 397 yards. Apo is the next highest with 204, Thompson is third with 153, Williams is fourth with 125, and then Mahina is the only other guy returning with over 50 yards. Sixty % of our production graduated. Sure there is a lot of talent coming in, yet most of that talent will only have one month to learn the plays and get in sync with Hill. We will need our newcomers to bring the swagger that a young Austin Collie brought in back in 2004. He had over 700 yards receiving that year, which was good for second on the team. Keep in mind that even Hoffman did not produce right away. He had to redshirt before getting meaningful minutes.

1161 Receiving yards out of 2942 = 39.46%

While I like that Anae has boldy proclaimed that we will "Go fast - go hard - and go deep," I believe that it will take time for our offense to find the passing game. When facing our most difficult opponents, we are going to rely on what we do the best, if we are going to have our best chance to win, and that is to run the football.
