it reminds me a lot of the 1984 team, when no one gave the cougars much respect heading into the season. That team was what I refer to as "humbly confident". I am seeing similar attitudes from this group of players. I am not predicting anything related to record or final outcome, but I am excited to watch them play.
Rather than cautiously hopeful like in the previous 4 years, I am settled and confident with this team.

Here's to hoping they can put together a magical season and turn some heads on the national stage. Here's to exceeding expectations rather than simply meeting them or falling just short. And here's to a season where both preparation and motivation are taught and accepted by every player who takes the field. We have experienced coaches, key players and personnel groups who are all saying the right things. Let's put it all together and avoid the drive killing mistakes of the past few years. Make it so boys…. Make it so.
