much of the time it is the level of opponent, but I argue that for whatever reason the offense doesn't even remotely function right until midseason in almost every year. It was like that in the stupid Arizona loss in 2006 that derailed an otherwise almost unbelievable season. It was like that last year. It was like that in the 2005 loss to Boston College at home. It is always like that.

Offense needs to be running right off the start.
