I dont think it is at all unreasonable to think that there would be times in the haste to just get the play off due to the GFGH focus along with being a new starter and some bad OL play that the default option as soon as the ball was snapped was to run.

That being said, I dont know that it is a matter of playing smarter this year but more of understanding when to run, how to get the ball to playmakers better and faster, increased ol and most importantly an entirely improved offensive unit that is much more comfortable with an offensive philosophy.
